AICD will look at how board and executive teams are made up of important and unique members who all need to work together as one. And how a strong relationship between the chair, board, chief executive and executives need to start with open and clear communication.
KPMG Wollongong managing partner Warwick Shanks said the briefing would look at how effective boardroom conversations, along with excellent working partnerships, were important to an organisation’s success.
Mr Shanks said there speakers were Australian Scholarships Foundation chair Paul Murnane and Cystic Fibrosis New South Wales chief executive Michele Adair.
Questions raised will be as a chair “how do you ensure everyone has a voice at the board table? What are the characteristics of a good relationship between Chair and CEO? The board and management relationship – how should it really work?”
