Mr Rollinson said his first Endure For a Cure was a great event that involved 200 riders who combined clocked up 7,372 laps of the Eastern Creek Raceway. He said that equated to 29,488 kms which was almost the equivalent to riding to Iceland and back.
“To date, the Endure for a Cure event has raised over $300,000...which is just fantastic,” he said.
Mr Rollinson himself rode 80 kilometres which he was really happy with after not riding for about three years. Individually he raised over $12,000 and wanted to say “thank you, thank you for your support”.
Mr Rollinson also thanked Sue Slowikowski and her students at the University of Wollongong for inviting him to be part of what he described as a great event.
“They made my family and I feel so welcome over the past few weeks and especially on event day itself,” he said.
“We had an amazing time working with you guys to raise awareness for the Children’s Cancer Institute, as well as trying to encourage as many donations as possible. If you would still like to donate, it’s not too late by clicking on http://endureforacure2016.gofundraise.com.au/page/LukeRollinsonand following the prompts.”
