Recently we detailed a race in which every runner went on to win its subsequent start and asked if punters had any knowledge of a similar event in the past. You can read this HERE.
But at the other end of the scale comes this race, brought to our attention by our very own Melbourne form expert Darren Potter.
The event in question was a 1400m race from Flemington on March 5, won by Lazumba.
As the table below shows, the form from this race leaves plenty to be desired.

“This group of imposters were beaten a total of 50 lengths at their next run and 44L the following start,” Potter said.
Not a single runner from the race in question has tasted victory since, with a total of 152.1 lengths separating then from the winner in each race in which they have partaken.
Now punters, we understand that there are some fairly ‘average’ form races in the country midweek, But this is a Saturday metropolitan race.
Have you seen a worse Saturday race this year, or can you remember one from years gone by?
We’d love to know about it. Hit us up on Twitter ‘@puntersshow’, on Facebook ‘The Punters Show’ or via email ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’.
Darren Potter was also joined by Anthony Jupp for this week's Melbourne Punters Show. Check it out in the player below.
