A “leading senior constable” will face Wollongong court in November over an alleged fraud incident that occurred at a police station within the state’s Southern Region.

The constable, who is attached to a specialist command, was issued with a court attendance notice charged with two counts of dishonestly obtaining financial benefits.
He is due to appear in court on November 2. The officer’s duty status is being reviewed, police said.
