The Illawarra Cancer Carers have been working in non-medical ways with cancer patients for 26 years and are very proud of the fact that they are all volunteers.
“Although we have no paid personnel, we do have volunteer coordinators responsible for the smooth running of each area of our organisation,” Audrey Walsh, secretary of Illawarra Cancer Carers said.
“All our money goes to Illawarra cancer patients either in the form of assistance or to help purchase equipment for the better treatment of cancer patients.
