Indie action-comedy The Tail Job has had rave reviews from international film festivals and was created on a budget of just $20,000.
Moses said previous work, like at the ABC, “forced” him to be creative with small budgets and so could rise to the challenge.
Though the Kiama High School graduate did admit his dad Ralph helped “chipped in” with finances and so ended up with a cameo in the film, playing the mysterious man at the centre of a taxi legend talked about throughout the film.
“I think he’s a bit of a secret performer, maybe in another life he may have gone down the acting pass,” Moses laughed, noting dad’s been in a few of his other projects including a TV series for SBS.
The Tail Job follows the story of Nicholas who thinks his fiance Mona is cheating on him so decides to tail her in a cab driven by a road-rage prone Trevor.
The idea developed out of a true story of a friend of a friend of Moses who thought his girlfriend was cheating on him after reading a text message from a man with an exotic name.
Moses aims to release his film to the smaller screen, such as via Netflix or iTunes, early next year.
The Tail Job MA15+, Greater Union Shellharbour, November 28.
