The incident happened at 10am on Crown Street near the intersection of Keira Street.

It is understood the 59-year-old woman rolled off the bonnet after being hit by the car.

The woman was taken to a nearby medical centre where she was given some treatment before the ambulance arrived.

After arrival, ambulance paramedics transported her to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.
