The Bureau of Meteorology says severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Illawarra or South Coast.
“The immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary,” the bureau said.
2.45pm: Damaging winds and heavy rainfall are likely to hit the Illawarra on Monday afternoon, prompting a severe weather warning.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued, by the Bureau of Meteorology, for parts of the Illawarra and South Coast.
The current warning area covers inland parts of both regions.
The bureau says there’s the chance of a thunderstorm in Wollongong during Monday afternoon and evening.
