It’s part of the state’s 59th Seniors Festival which encourages anyone over 60 to get together or make new friends at an array of free or heavily discounted events from March 3 to 12.
Blunden mixes humour with home truths to portray a woman emerging from the shadows to assert her identity and celebrate the third stage of her life.
Her character Jay in on a quest, ignored once too often as “just an old woman”, and sets out to investigate what this “third stage” of life is.
The show will be presented at Wollongong Art Gallery on March 3, while the performance will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.
Tickets are free and available from the customer service centre at Wollongong City Council on Burelli Street, or by phoning 4227 7238.
