Mrs Gray had spent four days sharing everything she could about her home town.
She did it so well that when she stopped for an interview in the Arts Precinct people from around the globe kept waiving to her and saying hello.
The significance of what she has done in a few days leading up to Norwegian Cruise Lines maiden voyage to the Illawarra was not lost of tourism leaders such as Destination Wollongong general manager Mark Sleigh and #cruisewollongong’s Stuart Barnes. Mr Sleigh said the fact that 300 people came to hear her speak about Wollongong after she performed two shows on the ship was unheard of. Norwegian Star’s cruise director agreed. “She has completely changed the way people viewed Wollongong,” Mr Sleigh said.
