Eleri Morris led the resistance for the Hawks women’s team on Saturday afternoon at the Snakepit, finishing with 15 points, but Sydney prevailed 71-50.
It means, after seven rounds, the Hawks are still searching for their first win of the season.
Lachlan Dent was a standout for the Hawks men, scoring 21 points, with Keelan Ward dropping 15, as well as five assists and five rebounds.
Sean Vincent Mullan continued a consistent season, with 14 points and six rebounds.
But the Hawks fell 78-67, against a Comets team on top of the Waratah League ladder, with just one loss all season.
The Hawks are ninth with a 3-6 record.
In a double-header, the women host Sutherland Sharks at the Snakepit on Saturday at 4.30pm, before the men’s team play at 6.30pm.
