There’s so much in today’s world that holds back progress. What does it take to break free from these limitations?
Speaker Tony Lobl of London, England, says, “I have found that prayer makes all the difference.
“Not so much an emptying of the mind to put a soothing pause into a demanding day, effective prayer is an openness of mind to a deeper, divine sense of life that can actually transform the way we experience our day.”
Lobl will present a one-hour talk, “Prayer that transforms us,” at 2pm on May 27 at the City Diggers Club, Corner of Church and Burelli Streets, Wollongong.
In this lecture, Lobl will explain that the prayer that transforms has a basis in reason and logic, as well as in inspiration.

“When we reason from God’s perspective, God that is divine love and divine principle, we see a new view of ourselves as the very expression of God rather than a material object subject to arbitrary forces,” he explains.
“This new view shows us the substantial and universal nature of the divine power, and that circumstances we thought were rock solid and unchanging are really not all that substantial or unavoidable.
“We can break out of the perceived limits that box us in. This makes all the difference for our lives and our well-being.”
Lobl’s ideas are based on the teachings of Jesus as recorded in the Bible, and as discussed in the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
Tony Lobl graduated from university with a degree in mathematics, greatly appreciating the laws of maths to follow when solving problems.
When a friend introduced him to Science and Health, he found an approach to understanding God that was based on divine laws of love.
The Christian Science practice of prayer is a very spiritual approach to understanding the teachings in the Scriptures that lift thoughts above the mundane sense of our seemingly material existence to what the discoverer and founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, describes as ‘a higher and holier consciousness.’ He found immediate benefit to his well-being and life.
Since then, his passion has been to share this powerful “divine Science” with anyone seeking solutions to unmet needs.
He does so through his practice of Christian Science healing; through publishing pieces on spirituality and health online in Huffington Post UK, the Independent, the Guardian, the Washington Post and others; and through lecturing around the world to a wide variety of audiences.
