Last weekend’s community open day was hosted by Frasers Property Australia and Shellharbour City Council.
Visitors received an update on the project and could take a bus tour to view progress of the boat harbour construction.
When complete, the marina, town centre and waterfront retail precinct will be the social hub of the coastal community.
Glenn Colquhoun, development director – Shell Cove, Frasers Property Australia said the community open day at Shell Cove was an opportune way for residents and the wider community to see the construction progress first-hand.
Mr Colquhoun said they had reached a milestone whereby 100 per cent of the excavation in the inner harbour was now completed.
He estimated the boat harbour was now more than two-thirds complete, and they were on track for completion in early 2019.
“The open day was the perfect opportunity for people to experience how the marina and all the other amenities are progressing,” Mr Colquhoun said.
The marina is the centrepiece of the $3.7 billion master-planned community.
