The car had an elderly woman at the wheel when it ran out of control off Whimbrel Avenue, about 4.30pm Saturday.
The Mercury understands the woman, aged in her 70s, was reversing out of a nearby driveway when she came unstuck.
Her car collided with a red car parked on the street, before continuing into the house.
NSW Ambulance Inspector Norm Rees said the woman was transported to Wollongong Hospital with minor injuries.
The damaged home was unoccupied.
“The man that owned it came home and found the car in his loungeroom,” Insp Rees said.
Tow trucks are on site as are NSW firefighters, who are working to render the site safe.
