Kurt Topper, 32, has been made partner of Wollongong law firm Stacks Heard McEwan.
At 30 Mr Topper was the youngest lawyer ever to achieve the rank of accredited specialist in Wills and Estates Law by the Law Society of NSW and is the only lawyer to hold the title in the region.
“Becoming a partner at Stacks Heard McEwan after starting as a law clerk just 12 years ago is a great honour,” he said.
The former Albion Park High School student did his law degree at the University of Wollongong, a Master of Laws at Sydney University and a Master of Applied Law at the College of Law.
Stacks Heard McEwan managing director Nathan Heard said Mr Topper had been offered the opportunity to become a partner after his continued success since joining the firm in 2004 as a law clerk while a first year law student at Wollongong University. “It is wonderful to see local talent rise to the top and stay in our region to assist local people with their legal needs “
