Jada Thomas from Barrack Point took out the under 12 event, while Thirroul’s Jett Blue was second in the mixed under 8s.
Thomas posted an incredible victory over her fellow competitors in the under 12 girls division and claim the top-spot on the leaderboard. Thomas posted a handful of decent scores as she was able to nab the win from perennial standout Leila Salt who finished in the second spot
Shell Cove’s Oceanna Rogers and Port Kembla’s Taj Simon were in the placings in the under 14 event.
Regarded as one of the major stepping stones in the development of young Australian surfers, the 10-event series caters for surfers from under 8-14 and will be held in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia and South Australia during summer.
Kiama will host round three on October 21-22.
