That’s what visitors to North Beach can expect again this summer as the Wollongong Beach Soccer League returns next month.
Created by Alfedro Esteves after he successfully hosted several beach soccer events in the region, the annual competition will celebrate its fifth year at the picturesque beach.
“It is pleasing to be able to bring it all together again, particularly as it fifth year of the league which is very exciting,” Co-organiser Christian Gonzalez, who is a former player in the league, said.
“Alfredo started it all a while ago now and I’ve come on later to help him out.
“We want to grow continue growing the brand in Wollongong and to grow it every year in terms of the quality in the league and the organisation.”
“It’s a great event for summer time in Wollongong.”
More than 200 mixed, juniors and adult players are expected to participate in the tournament.
Competition will run from Saturday, October 28 until Saturday, December 2. Bookings for the league are still open through the Wollongong Beach Soccer Facebook page or wollongongbeachsoccer@gmail.com
