Knight played just five minutes after copping a knock to his cheek following a lay-up in the Wildcats’ 96-86 triumph at a packed Perth Arena.
"Matty made those two points and turned and got a knock straight to his cheek," Wildcats coach Trevor Gleeson said.
"The poor bugger just can't take a trick at the moment.
“We'll get it examined and see where it is. He played an extra couple of possessions but then we didn’t play him after half-time."
Gleeson dismissed any suggestion that Knight suffered a concussion in the incident.
Knight has had a torrid run with injuries in recent seasons and was in doubt for the club’s season opener due to a thumb problem.
