The south coast’s best junior surfers have taken to Kiama Beach in the third round of the Surfer Groms Comps.
The series is regarded as the best platform for surfing development in Australia, with many of the country’s most talented junior surfers competing.
Port Kembla’s Tyler Hurst finished first in the under 12 girls event, with fellow Port Kembla resident Bodhi Simon finishing in third.
Hurst displayed impressive skill in claiming both her heats and is a junior surfer to watch after also winning the previous round in Cronulla.
Kiama Downs’ Lani Carincross and Xander Ross finished in first and second respectively in the under eight mixed event, capping a successful day for the region’s junior surfers.
