A Comancheros bikie has been sentenced to six months jail after Gangs Squad police found he had a set of knuckledusters at his Kanahooka home in violation of a weapons prohibition order.

Tristan James Glasson, who police say is a member of the South Coast chapter of the outlaw motorcycle gang, was issued with a court attendance notice for possessing a prohibited weapon without a permit and possessing a prohibited drug after officers attached to Strike Force Raptor discovered the knuckle dusters and two vials of testosterone on the morning of September 20.

Court documents reveal officers were at the house to serve firearms and weapons prohibition orders on Glasson’s housemate, Scott Hume, who police claim is also a member of the Comancheros.

When neither man answered the door, detectives entered the home via an unlocked window and began searching it under the conditions of a current enforceable order against Glasson.

The contraband was discovered in Glasson’s bedroom.

Glasson pleaded guilty to both charges in Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday, at which time it was revealed he was already serving a good behaviour bond after police found him in possession of an imitation Glock pistol (capable of firing plastic ammunition) in April 2016.

Magistrate Philip Stewart sentenced Glasson to six months behind bars, noting he wasn’t suitable for community service due to a back injury.

“You may have some great desire to collect weapons but if you do so you’re putting yourself at risk of jail each time,” he said.

Glasson will be released on parole next May.
