This is a given even if teary mum Sharon Smith has yet to come to grips with the fact her “little bubbas” are heading to big school.
And like many parents, Mrs Smith expects the tears to flow freely when her five-year-old triplets Brianna, Cooper and Sapphire head through the school gates to start their kindergarten journey.
“I’m very emotional at the moment but I realise that they are getting to a stage where they probably need more stimulation,” she said.
“So part of me is like, that's good they are going to school, it's a new adventure, but part of me is thinking my little bubbas have grown up.
“I have mixed feelings. It will be really good for them but you kind of remember them as these tiny little bubs in humidity cribs.
“It’s a big moment in their lives. I will get a little upset, but I am excited for them.”
The triplets are also looking forward to kindergarten, especially “excitable” Cooper.
“Whenever you ask him if he is excited, he runs around the house screaming “I'm going to school”, so he's definitely excited,” Mrs Smith said.
She added her triplets had very different personalities, even though all three loved watching and mimicking their favourite Paw Patrol characters.
“Sapphire is a shorts and t-shirt kind of girl who loves cars, motorbikes and anything that goes fast,” Mrs Smith said.
“Brianna on the other hand loves princess and the colour pink. She also loves to dance and wants to be a Sharkies [Cronulla Sharks] cheerleader when she grows up.
“Cooper wants to be a baby doctor.”
