The home at 36 Morrison Avenue, Coledale will be auctioned on February 16.
Selling agent, Kristine Morgan of Belle Property Thirroul described it as “your very own garden oasis”.
Ms Morgan said the price guide remained undisclosed, but the private and tranquil location was appealing to prospective buyers.
According to Australian Property Monitors, the home last sold in 1994 for $265,000.
“You’re on an acre of land back there,” Ms Morgan said. “It's tucked away, it's very private and peaceful.
“We’ve had quite a bit of out of area interest. A lot of Sydney-siders are definitely interested.
“Coledale’s just the flavour at the moment, everyone wants to be in Coledale... Coledale is definitely very popular with our Sydney buyers.”
She said the Illawarra's northern suburbs remained popular, as cashed-up Sydney buyers seeking more affordable options could “have the dream down here”.
“I think the secret's out and people are realising that they can live an hour down the road, still commute to the city and have lifestyle.”
