Evans and Wigan fan Stewart Rimmer won a Mercury competition that gave them the opportunity to take part in the All-Stars touch game played prior to the Wigan/Hull FC match. The game featured Dragons legends including Ben Hornby and Wendell Sailor.
“It was a great experience to get to play alongside the Dragons legends and play against the Wigan legends,” Evans said.
Evans entered the competition with the hope of playing with Timmins and he said the former Steelers and Dragons legend did not disappoint.
“Shaun Timmins gives you all the knowledge that should be given to people who want to play football. Between him and the rest of the Dragons boys, they were all extremely welcoming.”
