NSW police say officers were patrolling the Sturt Highway near Monak, halfway between Wollongong and Adelaide, on Saturday afternoon when they pulled over a Queensland-registered ute towing a caravan.
However, checks on both vehicles revealed the pair were listed as stolen – the ute from Queensland in January and the caravan from Wollongong on February 4, although at the time it was sporting a different number plate.
The 30-year-old male driver was also found to be driving with a disqualified licence.
Police will allege they located a number of other stolen items in the ute including number plates belonging to other vehicles.
The man was arrested and charged with 10 offences.
It is alleged he made full admissions to all the accusations.
Police said both vehicles were taken to a secure holding yard and the owners contacted.
The man will fronted court in Wentworth on Sunday.
