Clarke didn’t play against Adelaide after picking up a foot injury while Ogilvy suited up but didn’t take the court as he carries an ongoing hip injury.
With his side out of finals contention, Beveridge said he won’t force either back onto the floor.
“AJ’s not good and I’ll never force a player to play injured,” Beveridge said.
“He’s been trying over the last few weeks so we’ll have a discussion through the week. He needs a fair whack of time off so we’ll put that to him.
“Rotty’s probably hurting more about not playing, sitting on that bench and not being able to contribute. He’s got a foot injury and we only got the results of the MRI a few hours [before tip-off] so the decision was made pretty early he wasn’t going to play.
“A couple of days ago he couldn’t walk now he’s back to a normal limp. We’ll just see what happens but I will never, ever put any player at risk.
“He’s going to have some opportunities to go to Europe and the last thing I’ll do is force him to play just so we can get another win.”
