The author said her book began as a short story in a fiction class and was inspired to write more by her teacher.
The contemporary tale follows Eleanor Clements and her former coal-miner father Arthur, an the dark secrets hidden within an idyllic coastal setting.
Alicia received an Allen & Unwin / Varuna Publishers Fellowship that included a residency at Varuna, the NSW Writers’ Centre.
The novel is published by Regal House Publishing.
