Emergency services were called to the Princes Highway on the bends just before 3pm on Monday following reports a rider had come off his bike.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said paramedics treated a 50-year-old man at the scene for facial injuries, including a small laceration to his left cheek, and suspected rib injuries.
The man was taken by road ambulance to Wollongong Hospital.
Traffic on the highway remains heavy back to Rose Valley Road, due to one of two northbound lanes being closed.
3.10pm: Motorists are being warned of delays on the Princes Highway after an accident involving a motorcycle on the Kiama Bends.
The accident happened about 3pm on Monday and has closed one of two northbound lanes.
Emergency services are responding.
It is understood the accident has occurred at the southern end of the bends.
Traffic is heavy in the area.
