What’s going on?
An unusual campaign has been launched by the Anglican churches aimed at starting conversations about the man behind the Christian faith.
Local churches will be holding special events and encouraging people to ‘fill in the blank’ about who they think Jesus is.
“Jesus is one of the most important figures in history, but some people may not have really give much thought to who they think he is,” said Graham Thomas, senior minister at Robertson Anglican Church.
“In this campaign, we’re asking everyone to have a think about it, and we genuinely want to know your thoughts. Then we’re opening the doors so that people who want to keep talking feel welcome.”
Churches will be discussing the topic during services on the next two Sundays, March 18 and 25.
There will be a massive high school youth event at WIN Entertainment Centre on Friday, March 23.
