The cash is a partial refund on what people paid for their 2017 green slip, following on from the state government’s changes to the CTP insurance scheme.
The changes were introduced on December 1 and saw green slips drop in price by around $120.

The government has been conducting a trial of the refund system, in areas of NSW.
A spokesman for Services Minister Victor Dominello said the trials were going well and refunds for everyone will be available in the next month or so.
