Countless offers of help and donations have been flooding in since the news broke of the town’s evacuation and now reports of at least 70 homes lost.
St Vincent de Paul stores in Bega and Merimbula are the key drop-off point for donations of clothes, toiletries and non-persihable food items.
Perishable food can be taken to the Evac Centre in Bega at the Showground. These items are to be taken to the kitchen area attached to the pavilion.
Financial donations can be made through the official Mayoral Appeal fund hosted by the Bega Valley Shire Council.
