The new space is dedicated to its Life Choices Programs at Flagstaff Road, Warrawong and will provide unique training and support for people with a disability.
It is part of Flagstaff’s supported employment and training for more than 275 people in the region.
There are a range of programs offered such as Employment & Skills Development, Social Inclusion, and Independence Building Pathways. Flagstaff’s goal is to unlock the potential of people with a disability to achieve their goals.
The new Life Choices Hub will enable the socal enterprise to reach more participants and provide more programs, according to Flagstaff chief executive Roy Rogers.
Mr Rogers said the site will provide the opportunity to offer a greater service.
“And help unlock the potential of more people with a disability.
Some of our training and skills development programs that will be run from the Life Choices Hub include the Learner Driver Course, Supper Club social events, Transition to Open Employment and Cooking and Dining at Home.”
Member for Wollongong Paul Scully officially opened the Life Choices Hub at and event attended by Parliamentary Secretary for the Illawarra Gareth Ward, Aster Group chief executive Daniel Munk, Whitlam MP Sephen Jones, Wollongong Lord Mayor Gordon Bradberry and Bluescope chief John Nowlan, Flagstaff chief executive Roy Rogers and Flagstaff chair Colin Bloomfield.
Flagstaff’s business divisions include Print & Mail, Fine Foods & Corporate Catering, Coffee, Laundry Services, Recycling Services & Secure Shredding, Glove Recycling, Industrial Products, Packaging and Assembly, Shoalhaven.
