Traveling to Leeton for the crucial match, the Dragons crushed Riverina 22-nil, thanks to tries from Ethan O’Connell, Bailey Tooth, Braith Lawrence-Foye and Jye Patterson – who also kicked three goals.
The Glen Buffolin coached side will now take on either Northern Rivers, Newcastle or North Coast in the Andrew Johns Cup semi-final, depending on the result of Friday’s rescheduled clash between Newcastle and North Coast in Forster.
Unfortunately the season of James Grehan’s under 18s is over, after they lost 30-14 to the Riverina Bulls – in their final Laurie Daley clash for 2018.
The tries for the Illawarra South Coast side were scored by Mitchell Heffernan, Jake Brisbane and Jay Watling – with Nelson Sharp landing one conversion.
