Sebastian will be taking his band on the road for a hit-laden ‘Then & Now’ regional tour.
The tour will include a show at Wollongong Town Hall on Saturday, June 9.
Material from Sebastian’s current album, Conscious, such as Bloodstone and Set In Stone, will be performed alongside songs from throughout the past 15 years that have made him one of Australia’s most enduring artists, with more than 40 platinum-certified releases and in excess of three million sales to date.
Fans will also be treated to a sneak peek of his new material, set to be released later in the year.
“This year has started off so well for me,” Sebastian said in a statement.
“I’ve spent a lot of time writing new material and preparing a new body of work that really excites me, and I can’t wait to share it soon.
“One of my favourite things to do is perform live and I’m excited to bring my music to fans who live more remotely and get back to some amazing locations across Australia.
“I’m creating a show that will be a unique, one-of-a-kind experience for my loyal fans.
“My fans are all amazing so I love spending time with them, and I really feed off their energy when I’m out there on-stage.”
Sebastian will begin the tour with a special debut show in the Wollongong Town Hall, adding the singer/songwriter to a long list of celebrated Australian musical greats such as AC/DC and Sherbet who have performed in this building.
“I have a love affair with the South Coast of NSW – it’s my second home and where I go to refuel and spend treasured time with my family,” Sebastian said.
“I also try to fit in a bit of golf and fishing when I’m there.”
Since being crowned the first winner of Australian Idol in 2003, Sebastian has gone on to become the only Australian male artist in history to achieve six number one singles and two number one albums.
His first No.1 solo single, Angels Brought Me Here, still holds the record for the fastest-selling single in ARIA Chart history.
Supporting Sebastian on his ‘Then & Now’ tour is Aussie-born, Chicago-based singer Fatai.
