I applied for an IAS scholarship because I want to learn as much as possible. I felt if I applied for it I would be able to gain great experience and knowledge that could help me in my future career.
Who’s your favourite professional athlete and why?
My favourite professional athlete in the Australian surfer Sally Fitzgibbons. This is because Sally is a great role model as she is dedicated to her sports, never gives up and proves to us that you can achieve great things if you put your mind to it.
If you weren’t playing rugby what would you be doing and why?
If I wasn’t playing this sport I’d be playing netball because I love both games equally.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
I am a determined, cheerful, competitive athlete who loves to have fun.
What are your plans beyond school?
My plans beyond school is to hopefully play for Australia in either netball or rugby union. I would also wish to travel the whole of Australia and have a successful job
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
I wouldn’t change where I live for anything. Australia has it all.
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I go to the beach, surf, go camping, practise fitness, watch documentaries, read, draw or occasionally watch a movie.
What is your favourite subject at school?
My favourite subject at school would have to be science because there is so much learn in this field.
What is your greatest achievement in your sport so far?
The greatest achievement in my sport so far was when I got selected out of the spring 7’s competition to play for the junior Brumbies team.

When did you start playing your sport and how did you get started?
I started playing rugby union when I was 13. I started by playing for my high school and once I found out I loved rugby union I joined a rep team. My coach Scott Harris always encouraged me that I could do really well.
The Illawarra Academy of Sport, with the support of our many partners, provide athletes with the programs to develop, excel and achieve through sport while maintaining strong community ties. This in turn produces young ambassadors for the Illawarra community and the Illawarra Academy of Sport.
