The 2018 Shellharbour Relay will take place at Tom (Scout) Willoughby Oval, Shellharbour on April 14-15.
Relay for Life is a 24-hour event raising funds for Cancer Council NSW.
The theme for the 2018 Relay will be ‘superheroes’.
Grant Plecas, community engagement manager for Cancer Council NSW Southern Region said Relay participants could attend for one hour or 24 hours.
Entertainment will include ‘The Ultimate Pink Show’, teenage country music singer Chloe Christine and performances from Illawarra dance schools.
The event will also offer rides, children’s activities, junior sport clinics, health educational stalls and a head-shaving ceremony.
A Shellharbour Relay staple is the 'Miss Relay’ pageant. This fundraiser entails a male member of each team donning their finest evening wear and purse to complete a series of challenges.
Since its inception in 2012, the Shellharbour Relay has raised funds for Illawarra cancer support services and prevention programs.
