Most flathead drifts were again productive over the weekend but there were some reports of the dreaded green toads on the deeper drifts, whereas the more shallow drifts seemed pest free with plenty of good fish including gummies and flounder.

Beaches also fished well on the outgoing tides for bream, whiting and flathead with some cracking sized flatties close to shore.

Dawn and dusk have been very productive for good sized salmon and tailor on baits and lures and there were lots of school-sized jews about over the weekend but alas the bigger models seem to be non-existent.

Gerringong Hotel FC held their Derek Wishart memorial competition last weekend with an excellent rollout.

Gerringong fished hard for their 1200 points but they were swamped by Derek’s mates who tallied an impressive 2200 plus points.

Thanks to everyone for their generous donations to the asthma foundation and with a bit of extra cash from the raffle they raised over $800 for this great cause.
