It’s alleged a shot was fired into a Northcliffe Drive home from inside a stolen Toyota Rav4 hitting the front passenger door about 3.45pm on Monday.
An 18-year-old woman standing nearby was not injured.
The car sped away, travelling west on Northcliffe Drive, police said.
Lake Illawarra police established a crime scene and launched an investigation. On Wednesday, a 19-year-old man was arrested at a home on Hertford Drive, Berkeley.
He was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station and charged with discharge firearm etc intend cause grievous bodily harm, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic), possess unauthorised firearm, drive conveyance taken without consent of owner, and never licensed person drive vehicle on road.
The man was refused bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court on Thursday.
