The Wollongong Surge will be one of 40 teams competing at the Australian Ultimate Championships starting on Friday at Dalton Park.
With more than 750 players involved, it is the first time the tournament has been held in the Illawarra.
The Surge have previously claimed success in the women’s division in 2016.

“Ultimate Frisbee is the world's only self-refereed team sport," he said.
“Because we have no referees, we have to resolve any disputes between each player involved.
Fouls are discussed with other about what should occur next and what is the most fair outcome.
