Why did you apply for an IAS scholarship?
I applied for an IAS scholarship because I have always enjoyed playing hockey and I thought it would be a great way to keep improving my skills and knowledge of the game over the off season.
Who’s your favourite professional athlete and why?
Bethany Hamilton has always been one of my favourite athletes because she has such an inspiring story and has gone through so many tough situations. She has always had an attitude where she is never giving up, and always doing her best.
If you weren’t playing this sport what would you be doing and why?
I'm sure I would be playing some other sports because I've always been a very active person and loved playing sport.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
I would describe myself as someone with a cheerful personality and a fun-loving nature who loves being around my friends and family, playing sport and going to the beach.
What are your plans beyond school?
I would love to attend university and hopefully study Veterinary Science.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I'm not exactly sure where I would live, because I would love to be travelling a lot and discovering new places, but it would definitely have to be somewhere warm and close to a beach.
What do you do in your free time?
With school and hockey taking up most of my time, I also love spending time with my friends and family.
What is your favourite subject at school?
My favourite subjects in school are PASS and English.
What is your greatest achievement in your sport?
Continuing to make representative teams for Illawarra South Coast Hockey and winning the U15 NSW State Championships in 2017.
When did you start playing your sport and how did you get started?
I started playing hockey six years ago, when I was 9 years old because my sisters were playing in older age groups. I was always at the hockey fields anyway so I thought I might as well play myself and I'm pretty happy I decided to.
