Victor Sultana’s supremely talented sprinter produced a stunning performance to score by a massive 16-½ lengths in a slick 29.65 seconds.
It was by far the fastest heat win of the night and took Sky Wave’s record to an impressive nine wins from 16 career starts.
Darren Sultana’s Black Forge (30.15) claimed the opening heat from the wide draw in box eight.
Mark Gatt trained Sanjiro (30.47) defied a checkered run from box five to qualify for next week’s semi finals.
Dean Swain trained Styles made the most of the inside box to clock in at 30.19 seconds and win the final heat of the night.
Semi-finals will be staged next Monday evening.
The top four finishers in each semi final will qualify for the $25,000-to-the-winner final.
