Detectives arrested a 28-year-old man at a home in Kemblawarra about 1.20pm Tuesday.
Tonight he remains in custody at Lake Illawarra Police Station, where he is assisting police with their inquiries regarding the April 9 incident, as well as unrelated property offences.
He is expected to appear before Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday.
On April 12 police charged an 18-year-old man, Christopher West, over the same shooting. It is alleged a shot was fired towards a Northcliffe Drive home from inside a stolen Toyota Rav4. An 18-year-old woman standing nearby was not injured.
