The Tigers managed a hard-fought loss to Thirroul and gritty win over Corrimal before meeting the defending premiers in the final round of the preseason in what proved a valuable wake-up call heading into the new season.
“We thought we were in the right place and then we met Collies in the last round of the Challenge Cup which brought us back to earth a little bit,” Lennon said.
“We know what we need to work on and we’re pretty confident we can turn it around this weekend and show that we are here to make a difference in this comp.
“It’s a pretty good opportunity to make up for what happened up there and there’s no better way to send a statement to the rest of the competition that we’re here and we’re the real deal.”
