After coach Will Ryan outlined plans to build the Kangaroos into the next premiership force, they produced a blistering five-goal second term while holding the Tigers scoreless.
Jacob Hennessy booted six as Figtree marched to a 14.14 (98) to 8.4 (52) victory.
James Stacey was best-on-ground, ahead of Hennessy and Nick Stacey, as the Roos restricted Bomaderry star Jordan Matthews to just four goals.
The was the most competitive game of the round, as Kiama, Wollongong Bulldogs and premiers Wollongong Lions delivered landslide victories.
The hapless Nowra-Albatross were held scoreless by the Lions, who piled on 30.16 (196), with James Adamson kicking 11 goals.
The result reflects the chasm between the top and the bottom of the league and the driving force behind AFL South Coast’s decision to change the league to a three-tiered format this year, which will be determined after nine rounds.
The top six teams will move into the top division, with Bomaderry and Shellharbour likely to also qualify.
Josh Krull (six) and Troy Cole (five) led Kiama’s charge to a 24.18 (162) to 3.4 (22) victory over Shellharbour.
The Power booted 8.4 in the final term while holding Shellharbour scoreless.
And the Bulldogs outclassed Port Kembla to secure a 23.24 (162) to 1.3 (9) victory.
