‘The Loft’ residences will be located at 17-21 Loftus Street, Wollongong.
The development will include 47 apartments (spanning one, two and three bedrooms) and two commercial spaces. The first release of apartments will be available for sale off-the-plan from May 12.
MMJ Real Estate Wollongong and Bevans Wollongong are the selling agents for the development.
Director of MMJ Real Estate Wollongong, David Geary said the majority of apartments available were north-facing, two-bedroom apartments.
One-bedroom apartments will start from $450,000, two-bedrooms from $600,000 and three-bedrooms from $715,000.
He said they were hoping construction of the project, which consists of a ground level plus seven storeys, would commence at the end of this year.
“The Loft residences will offer living on a whole new level,” Mr Geary said.
The expansive rooftop area is also designed as a social space with its barbecues, seating, conversation areas and a small play area for the kids.
Sydney-based company Wonderfield Properties are the project’s developer, while interior designers Katon McGrath have shaped the apartments.
A custom-designed display suite will also be available for viewing.
The display suite will be located at 17 Loftus Street, Wollongong and officially open from May 12.
“We’ve basically had nearly a full unit built inside a house, so people can walk in and see every bit of product and design that they’re going to get in these apartments,” Mr Geary said.
Meanwhile, construction is commencing soon on a new high-profile residential and commercial development in Wollongong.
Avantè is commencing construction at the end of the month, and it is anticipated that it will be finished by late 2019.
When the 77 luxury apartments hit the market last October, 31 per cent sold on opening sales day.
The current round of sales will conclude at the end of April.
After this month, the next opportunity for purchasers to buy off the plan will be mid-construction; expected to be in mid-2019.
