The Independent Education Union of Australia, represents over 70,000 employees working in non government education across Australia. IEU is fighting for equal pay for early childhood teachers as teachers in schools. Running an Equal Remuneration Case in the Fair Work Commission, the IEU will present evidence between July and August this year.
IEU has waged a highly successful campaign in Catholic systemic schools. Teachers and support staff will soon be voting on improved new enterprise agreements.
