The 10th annual awards are being held on June 11 at City Beach Function Centre.
IWIB director Glenda Papac said there were a good mix of business people and businesses who have entered before and for the first time.
The annual awards started just over two decades ago with just two categories.
The finalists are:
Business Woman of the Year finalists are Jo Mould, Kylie Moffitt, Lauren Buhagiar, Gabrielle Browne, Melinda Griffiths, Holly Howell, Emma Perrow, Joanne Danckwardt, Deborah Shepherd, Apral Nikolich and Diana Foye
Young Business Woman of the Year Sarah Nolen, Ebony AustIn, Georgia Kollaras and Nicola Xanthopoulos.
Best Business finalists are Casamia Lingerie and Wollongong Diagnostics.
