Featuring over 20 teams from schools in the Illawarra, with six members per team, the competition is a unique event on the surfing calendar, but one surfers from the region always hotly anticipate.
The Bulli team, led by Eddy Hamaty and Darci Air, proved too good for their rivals, with Warilla High School claiming second place and Shellharbour Anglican College and Holy Spirit College finishing in third and fourth place respectively.
The Illawarra Grammar School’s Finn McLaren was named most valuable male surfer, while Air received the most valuable female surfer award.
The competition featured multiple surfers who have made waves in big junior events, with Lennix Smith competing for Warilla, Tyla and Charli Hurst competing for Corpus Christie, and Will Clarke and Aiden Chamberlain turning out for Holy Spirit College.
