9:00am: Emergency services are closing Macquarie Pass in both directions for at least 15 to 30 minutes Saturday morning to salvage a vehicle which has veered off the road and down an embankment.

Police and Rural Fire Service crews are currently on scene, after emergency services were called just to the Illawarra Highway before 8:30am.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said the driver – the sole occupant of the vehicle – was unharmed, however the car needed to be salvaged.
