Amity College Illawarra principal, Dr Mehmet Aslan said, “Parents will need to contact the school to obtain an application form and submit that together with their application fee.
“Students will need to sit an entrance exam and may also be asked to attend an interview with the principal. Finally, an offer of placement will be made to successful applicants.”
The entrance exam applies to all grade levels. Applicants for kindergarten to year 1 will sit a paper-based test which looks at basic literacy, numeracy and also fine motor skills, while applicants for years 2 onward will need to sit a computer-based test where they will encounter literacy, numeracy and abstract (visual) questions.
“Enrolment for all grade levels in 2019 are still open although waiting lists do apply for some grades,” Dr Aslan said. “Prospective parents will need to contact the school and obtain an application form as soon as possible.”
