The Blueys will play host to Hakoah Sydney City East in a blockbuster final preliminary round match of the FFA Cup next Wednesday night, where they will be looking to become the first IPL club to qualify for the round of 32.
It is undoubtedly a massive carrot for the northern suburbs club. But Willis says his squad’s attention must be fixed on Saturday’s battle with the Woonona Sharks at Ocean Park before they can contemplate their Cup fairy tale.
"Our focus is always going to be on the league still because that is our bread and butter," he said.
"We have to get the points on the weekend and then we can start thinking about Wednesday. At the moment though, Woonona are our sole focus.
"They have obviously picked up some form in recent weeks and are full of confidence. We don't take anybody lightly and that won't change this weekend."
Woonona have won three straight games heading into their match with Tarrawanna, who only learned their Cup destiny on Friday.
The Blueys will be unable to host Hakoah at Tarrawanna Oval because of the competition’s lighting standards, but are on the lookout for another venue.
Wherever the match takes place, Willis knows his squad are in for a massive test against the NSW NPL Men’s 1 club.
"We were always going to meet a good team and that's what we got in Hakoah," he said. "It will be pretty tough but we were fortunate enough to get the home game which is good.
“It should give us our best shot."
Meanwhile, Bulli play Albion Park, Wollongong United meet Port Kembla and Wollongong Olympic face Picton on Saturday.
On Sunday, Fernhill host Corrimal Rangers and Cringila travel to South Coast United.
